Hitched!!! Eisold Wedding 11.19.11

Within the first few minutes of meeting Alex and Samantha in early September, I knew that I wanted to be a part of their wedding day.  I am happy to bring you the professional pictures of the Eisold wedding on November 19, 2011!  Working with this couple as their day of coordinator was so great because they both had a lot of ideas and wanted to make this a very fun, personalized celebration.

Starting out the big day, the bride's makeup was done by a private Mary Kay consultant and the bridal party hair was done at Howard County favorite, Symmetry Hair Studio.  Photographers Collen & Mike of Perskie Photographics And Design were on hand all day to expertly capture all the moments, big and small.  Alex and Samantha are a sweet, fun loving couple who met in college at University of Maryland and chose to have their ceremony at the UM Memorial Chapel. This had extra significance because Alex's parents go married at the same chapel 28 years ago!  The wedding party arrived in style to College Park thanks to A Touch Of Class Limousines and the ceremony at the Memorial Chapel was officiated by Reid Robinette who had so many wonderful moments that he recalled from their pre-marital counseling sessions such as why Samantha loves Alex and vice versa.  Sunny Helms provided beautiful ceremony music as an accomplished pianist.  

After the ceremony the guests were directed to Turf Valley Resort.  After an extended cocktail hour in the Waterford lobby, the guests enjoyed the reception in Turf Valley's Waterford ballroom.  The room's beauty was enhanced by Blondell’s Accent on Events providing lighting draping above the dancefloor (see photos below!) and all of the wedding day's amazing floral arrangements were provided by Cattails Country Florist.  The cocktail hour and reception music was provided by Event Entertainment's Phil who did a terrific job as the MC as well.  The Turf Valley Resort staff never cease to amaze me, they were so professional and on top of their game which included the delicious dinner.  As a sweet treat, the lovely and delectable wedding cake was provided by Turf Valley's exclusive baker, Debi's Cake Studio. 

Last but not least, I need to thank my amazing event assistant, Christine Jermusyk, who made my life easier with all her hard work.  Once again, congrats again Mr. & Mrs. Eisold, it was a joy to work with you both and I wish you a lifetime of love!

Hitched!!! Foschetti Wedding 10.9.11

I am SO pumped to debut the Foschetti wedding from this past October!  The sincerest compliment to a vendor is another vendor's referral.  I was referred to Joe and Jean through their officiant, Rev. Laura Cannon of Divine Transformation, who is one of my preferred vendors.  Working as Joe and Jean's day of coordinator was a great experience for me and the wedding was a beautiful reflection of their style.  I really felt like I got to know both Joe and Jean during the planning which always helps me pinpoint the important details of the big day.  And what a day it was!  They tied the knot on a warm, gorgeous Sunday in October with the ceremony and reception both celebrated at The Engineer's Club at the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion in Baltimore's historic Mount Vernon neighborhood.  Site contact Krystal Atkinson was so professional and accommodating at our site visit and rehearsal that I knew that the wedding day would be just as organized. 

The bride and her bridal party's hair and makeup were perfected by Ashley and Steffani from Up Do’s For I Do’s, LLC.  The groom & his groomsmen chose to get ready at the Peabody Court Hotel Downtown Baltimore which also hosted out of town guests and the rehearsal dinner while the ladies got ready on the second floor of The Engineer's Club.  This elegant hotel is super conveniently located ONE block down the street from The Engineer's Club, which I loved.  Having the whole wedding party in close proximity to each other and the site is a planner's dream by the way.  Thomas of Thomas Graves Photography excellently captured the entire day (see photos below).  He and his wife (who was his assistant for the wedding) are the definition of a great team, be sure to check out his blog to get a great insight into his style.  Having a wedding video was very important to Joe and Jean who chose videographer Jim of 5ive Star Media Productions to film their big day. 

The ceremony was in the Drawing Room which was beautifully enhanced by the floral arrangements from Little House of Flowers.  Owner Julie Upchurch took such care in her work and it definitely showed in the ceremony and reception flowers as well as the wedding party flowers.  This couple definitely has talented friends, two guests sang as part of the ceremony which added such a personal touch.  The cocktail hour was held in the open courtyard and illuminated by blue uplighting supplied by DJ AJ of AJ Productions, who ran sound for the ceremony and provided a great soundtrack for the cocktail hour and for the entire reception.  The Engineer's Club staff provided a delicious dinner for the reception which was held in the Ballroom and the tasty wedding cake was from Sweet Bakery Baltimore.  As a fun extra for guests, Perskie Photographics & Design provided a photo booth with props for the reception and the photos doubled as favors!  

Last but not least, I need to thank my amazing event assistant, Kellie O'Connor, who made my life easier with all her hard work.  Once again, congrats again Mr. & Mrs. Foschetti, it was a joy to work with you both and I wish you a lifetime of love!

Hitched!!! Trincia Wedding 10.22.11

I have been excited about the Trincia wedding since I first spoke with Maggie & Nick last summer!  The wait is over and I'm so happy to present the professional pictures of their wedding on October 22, 2011.  Working as their day of coordinator was a great experience as Maggie and Nick are such a wonderful couple who were both very focused and excited about their big day.  Even though they currently live in San Francisco, having lived in MD a few years ago they decided to plan their wedding around what they love about Baltimore.  Over many skype meetings, I grew to know Nick & Maggie as a sweet, fun loving couple who are a perfect compliment to each other; he has a great creative mind and works in design and she is an organized project manager.  Every detail was personal to the couple which I loved.  The ceremony and reception took place at Gutierrez Studios at Clipper Mill in Baltimore, MD, an industrial site where Nick used to work.  There is even a bench that he made still on the site grounds!  To see this site transform from a working shop during our final site visit on Wednesday to their personalized wedding venue by Saturday was pretty amazing.  With family & friends joining the celebration from California to Boston to New York, Maggie & Nick decided to maximize their guests' downtime by selecting the Admiral Fell Inn, which is in the heart of Baltimore neighborhood Fells Point.  Transportation of the guests to the wedding was provided by Just Class Motorcoach.      

Now getting down to wedding details, the bride's makeup was done by her sister Penny who was also the maid of honor and the bride's talented cousin Anne Weber did her bridal hair.  I'm SO jealous of how many insanely talented friends Maggie & Nick have, the whole day was captured by freelance photographer Chris Haynes.  The ceremony was held in front of the studio entrance and performed by Jim Ezell, a family friend who flew in from California.  His ceremony was complimented by another friend who provided the ceremony music with his guitar skills and lovely singing voice.

The reception was held inside the studio space and cocktail hour was held in the lobby with the escort cards on display as well as the creative time capsule guest book.  The studio's industrial edge was enhanced by groom Nick and his brother providing weather balloons and stringing lights for a glowy atmosphere (see photos below!) and the amazing floral arrangements were provided by Gordon Florist who got Maggie's vision spot on.  I told you that this couple definitely has talented friends, Matt Makowski was the MC and set up all the sound equipment for the 'ipod DJ'.  For anyone who is skeptical about using an ipod for a wedding, Maggie & Nick did an exceptional job with the playlists and kept the party going all night long.  Catering was courtesy of the amazing Sacha's, if you keep up with my 'hitched' series then you know that I love working the Sascha's crew and I cannot think of enough compliments for their staff, professionalism, service and food.  As a super fun twist on the traditional wedding cake, Maggie & Nick had cannoli tower which was provided by Baltimore favorite, SugarBakers Cakes.  More amazing personalized details- Nick handmade the Natty Boh bride & groom heads for their tower topper and they offered guests Berger cookies as the favors, two very big Baltimore favorites.  Last but not least, I need to thank my amazing event assistant, Kellie O'Connor, who made my life easier with all her hard work.  Once again, congrats again Mr. & Mrs. Trinica, it was a joy to work with you both and I wish you a lifetime of love!

 

 

Hitched!!! Turner Wedding 8.13.11

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing not only my clients fully enjoying their big day, but also seeing the two families coming together.  Even more rewarding is working with a family on more than one wedding!  After working in April on the Williams wedding, I was contacted by the wife of Mrs. William's cousin.  Frances & Paul Turner had a court ceremony in November 2009 and were planning a full blown ceremony and reception for all their friends & family in August 2011.  Frances had been planning for over a year and half when I came in the picture for Day of Coordination and we had such a good time working together, I truly have the BEST clients. 

Frances & Paul already had a great foundation for their wedding and had chosen some great vendors which made my job easier.  The bride, her female relatives and the mother of the groom were pampered by Monica Cook Make Up Artistry and Silver Immersion, who worked their magic on the hair styling.  The ceremony & reception were held at Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore, MD and the caterer was the on-site SAGE Dining Services.  I could not be more impressed with any particular aspect of this site- the Marikle chapel is breathtaking (see photos below), the site coordinators Bodga and Mo were amazing and the catering was delicious with a great staff to boot.  Father Thomas Malia officiated the full Catholic mass complete with Philippine traditions to honor the bride's heritage.  Elaine Bryant of Harp Shadows provided the ceremony music and the entire wedding day was captured by Beverly Lynn Photography.  Decor was completed by the always amazing My Flower Box Events LLC who provided the gorgeous floral arrangements for the ceremony, reception and all family flowers. 

The reception music and MC duties were handled by Walt of DJ Dunick who was kept the guests partying until midnight!  Last but not least, the delicious wedding cake was crafted by Sweet Bakery Baltimore. All of this was made a success by having my fabulous sister, Jeanette Carmody, as my event assistant.  There were so many great details it was hard to narrow down to this post, check the Felicity C Weddings facebook page for the complete album.  I sincerely wish the Turners years of happiness and love!

Hitched!!! Fuller Wedding 5.28.11

I'm so EXCITED to bring you the professional pictures of the Fuller wedding on May 28, 2011!  Kevin & Dawn hired me as their day of coordinator and I had so much fun working with them!  The ceremony and reception took place at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD which is where I met them in January at the TVR Bridal Extravaganza. 

Kevin & Dawn are a sweet, fun loving couple who work in the same building on different floors officially met while both stopped at a stoplight leaving work after seeing each other heading in to and leaving work for a few months.  And the rest is history!  Living outside of DC this couple loves to travel, go out on the town and spend time with their close knit families.  Since there were a lot of out of town family & friends joining the celebration, the full service Turf Valley Resort was the perfect place for this Memorial Day weekend wedding.  Now getting down to wedding details, the bride's makeup was done by Beauty N The Bride.  The whole day was captured by Drew of His and Her Photography who was a pleasure to work with and definitely has a passion for his work.  The ceremony was held in front of the gazebo on the beautifully manicured property on a perfect day and performed by Starlene Joyner Burns of SJB Ministries, LLC.  Stereo Strings provided the ceremony music thanks to a talented trio who had a very personal connection, one of the musicians had taught the bride's sister years ago! 

The reception was held inside the Turf Valley Resort's Wedgewood Room and cocktail hour was held in the entry room to the Wedgewood with framed photos of the couple's engagement photos on display with the escort cards.  The room's beauty was enhanced by Blondell’s Accent on Events providing blue uplighting and a personalized gobo design (see photos below!) and the amazing floral arrangements were provided by My Flower Box Events LLC who never cease to amaze me.  This couple definitely has talented friends, Melvyn Prince of Prince Productions a long time friend was their DJ and kept the party going with infectious music all night long.  The Turf Valley Resort staff were so professional & on top of their game which included the delicious dinner.  As a sweet treat, the lovely & delectable wedding cake was provided by Debi's Cake Studio.  Last but not least, I need to thank my amazing event assistant, Kellie O'Connor, who made my life easier with all her hard work.  Once again, congrats again Mr. & Mrs. Fuller, it was a joy to work with you both and I wish you a lifetime of love!

 

 

 

Hitched!!! Holding Wedding 4.8.11

As a wedding planner I absolutely LOVE the opportunity to work with a couple who has a strong vision for their big day.  I met Matt & Jessie in September 2010 and I was immediately excited for their Italian vineyard themed wedding.  They are a great couple who had been dreaming of a honeymoon to Italy ahead of the wedding and used that as the foundation.  We got to work right away seeking out the best vendors to create an Italian vineyard for this Delaware couple getting married at The Wellwood Club in Charlestown, MD. 

Matt & Jessie were both very involved in every step of the wedding planning and I think that was they key in creating a day that honored both of them individually and as a couple.  Amazing details were provided by The Wellwood Club who set the bar extremely high with Angela, the site coordinator who truly cared about Matt & Jessie.  Since TWC is a restaurant by day, I had no doubt that the catering would be phenomenal and the staff was so professional and attentive.  The staff was particularly helpful since there was a lot of moving around to do ahead of the ceremony- we had to move the set up from overlooking the bay to inside the tent that day as the heavens opened in the early morning and didn't stop until close to 11pm!  Always keeping the focus of each other, Matt & Jessie were so flexible and truly excited for their big day regardless of rain. 

The decor was complimented by Belak Flowers of Wilmington, DE who provided all the stunning floral arrangements.  Barb really took the time to understand the vineyard vision and created beautiful centerpieces on top of the wine bottles that Jessie provided.  Delaware favorite Cannon's Cakes provided the gorgeous and delicious cake.  And to keep the party moving, Matt & Jessie asked a good friend to be their DJ and having that personal touch really was extra special.  Kathy of Sparkle Photography is a preferred vendor and needless to say, she never disappoints.  Her talent of capturing the cherished moments is pretty amazing. We did luck out that the rain stopped for about 30 minutes towards the end of the reception so the couple could get some great shots on the property.  This couple was so great to work with from start to finish, I wish nothing but the most love & happiness to the Holdings as they start their life together!  Enjoy these photos and please check Felicity C Weddings' Facebook page for the whole photo album.

Hitched!!! Barton Wedding 9.11.10

With all the hustle & bustle of this fall wedding season, I just realized that I didn't post about this wonderful wedding!  So, here we go!  Barbie & Mark are a great couple that I have had the pleasure of knowing for about 3 1/3 years now.  I worked with Barbie at my last corporate job before starting my own company in April 2009.  We worked together for two years and once I met Mark and hung out with both of them I knew that it was just a matter of time because they are so perfect for each other.  Barbie knew that I planned weddings on the side for friends and we often talked about wedding ideas.  She told me that I would be her planner when she & Mark got engaged.  Well that time came this past July 4th weekend when Mark asked Barbie to be his wife after dinner on their back deck.  Barbie texted me that Monday and said that she was in need of my services.  From there it all unfolded pretty quickly- along with Barbie & Mark, I planned this wedding in 8 weeks!

Barbie was about 3 months pregnant at the time and really wanted to get married in September before she got too far into the pregnancy to enjoy the wedding.  She knew right away that she wanted a "French Country" theme and we completely lucked out in finding a venue with perfect decor that had a September Saturday open up.  On the wedding day, the weather was amazing for the ceremony & reception that took place at The Farmhouse in Wilmington, DE.  Barbie was very hands on with the planning and bought a bunch of cute decor accents while at the Outer Banks in late July.  Sparkle Photography's Kathy Wilson did a fantastic job of capturing all the sweet moments and details small to large throughout the day (personalized unity candle! hand-painted guest seating chalkboard! adorable quote sign for guest book table!).  One of my favorite details was bagpiper David Bailiff, who played as guests arrived to the ceremony and led the couple on their ceremony recessional, whose great talent celebrated the groom's ancestry.

As for the food, The Farmhouse has in-house catering by Country Caterers Inc. which was complemented with a cake by Sweets To You By Ginger, Inc.  During the planning process Barbie & Mark asked for DJ recommendations and my first thought was Jon Anson of Anson Audio, who I worked with in June.  He has the great ability to keep every guest happy and keep the night going while staying on my timeline.  Alfreda McCoy-Cuff was a friend of the bride's who has planning and floral design experience.  Alfreda's knowledge and resources were great and the beautiful floral arrangements really tied in the theme. It was a joy to see this wedding come together so quickly and to help one of my friends with her big day.  Married life certainly looks good on the Bartons and I can't wait to meet baby Lane in February!  Here are the photos of this beautiful day.  Enjoy!
